When is the best time for maternity photo session?

The best time for a maternity photo session is usually between 28-34 weeks. This period often strikes the perfect balance between having a beautifully pronounced baby bump and still feeling comfortable and mobile enough for a photoshoot. Many women still have beautiful and memorable photos taken between 35-39 weeks. If you’re having multiples, we recommend having it a little earlier, about 6 or 7 months (24-30 weeks).

May I bring my spouse and other children with me?

Absolutely! In our Silver and Gold packages, your family is warmly included. The Silver package focuses primarily on the expectant mom, but your husband is welcome to join for a few couple photos if you'd like. If you wish to include kids please select Maternity Gold Package.

Please understand that sessions are timed and the more time used for “family” portraits will decrease the amount of time to focus on your maternity session. 

Is 35 weeks too late for maternity pictures?

No, 35 weeks is not too late for maternity pictures. Many women still have beautiful and memorable photos taken between 35-39 weeks. At this point, you may be having a harder time walking around and just be generally more uncomfortable.

Do you provide dresses/fabrics/ accessories?

I provide fabric, bodysuits, dresses, and accessories.Since my selection of dresses is limited, I will send you a Wardrobe Guide and ideas after you book your session with me.

Should I be concerned about extra weight (chin, arms, thighs) and stretch marks?

I want you to feel beautiful and relaxed during your photography experience as well as to treasure your final images. Complete professional retouching is included in your session and you don’t have to worry about any imperfections such as blemishes, stretch marks and certain body contours. We specialize in the most comprehensive and detailed editing and will enhance and transform the image into a stunning work of art..

Will you guide me and help me pose?

You are in good hands! Even if it is your first professional photography experience, my goal is to make sure you feel comfortable, relaxed, beautiful and empowered, pampered and confident. During your personalized photo shoot, I will guide you through elegant poses and will focus on angles that bring out your most beautiful self. As a female myself, I know how to make you look your best and most flattering.

Should I bring props to my maternity photoshoot?

You are more than welcome to bring any props you want for your shoot! Please let me know in advance what props you want to bring so I have ideas prepared about how to best include your props in the shoot!

How should I prepare for the photoshoot?

My maternity sessions are customized just for you and include a consultation with me. We’ll discuss your ideas for style, posing, lighting and wardrobe. I’ll work closely with you to understand your vision and ensure it’s brought to life.

I would like to take similar images/poses that I saw in your portfolio. Can we do that?

Sure. You can pick your favorite lighting/backdrop set ups and poses from our portfolio and you are welcome to bring your own ideas as well.

My Photo Studio is located in Glendale Heights, IL. There's a parking available around the building.
